When you visit this website

This is a purely informational website. There are no user accounts, no analytics tools and no advertising services.

On every request your browser transmits technical data which our hosting provider records in server log files: IP address, date and time of the request, the address requested, the amount of data transferred, browser type and operating system, and the previously visited page.

This processing is necessary to deliver the site, keep it stable and detect attacks. The legal basis is our legitimate interest in secure operation (Art. 6(1)(f) GDPR). Log files are deleted automatically after a short period and are not combined with other data.

Technical operation is provided by a hosting provider acting solely on our instructions, with whom a data processing agreement under Art. 28 GDPR is in place.

Contact form

The form on the contact page lets you send us an enquiry. Name, e-mail address and message are required. Phone number and the service you are interested in are optional and simply help us reply more precisely.

Your entries are not stored in a database; they reach us by e-mail only. We process them to answer your enquiry and, where applicable, prepare a quote (Art. 6(1)(b) GDPR), and on the basis of the consent you give by ticking the box in the form (Art. 6(1)(a) GDPR). You may withdraw that consent at any time without any formality; the lawfulness of processing carried out beforehand is unaffected.

After sending, you automatically receive a confirmation of receipt at the e-mail address you provided.

Against automated bulk submissions we use no captcha, but three unobtrusive measures: an extra field invisible to humans, a check of how long the form took to fill in, and a limit on submissions per IP address. For this your IP address is held in the server’s memory for at most ten minutes and then discarded. It is neither stored permanently nor analysed (Art. 6(1)(f) GDPR).

Contact by phone or e-mail

If you call or write to us directly, we process your details (name, contact data, content of the enquiry) solely to handle your request and any follow-up questions (Art. 6(1)(b) and (f) GDPR).

Sending e-mail

For sending and receiving our e-mail we use Google Workspace provided by Google Ireland Limited, Gordon House, Barrow Street, Dublin 4, Ireland. Google processes the content on our instructions; a data processing agreement is in place.

This may involve a transfer to the United States. Google LLC is certified under the EU-U.S. Data Privacy Framework; the European Commission’s standard contractual clauses apply in addition.

The transfer between our server and Google is encrypted. Please note, however, that e-mail can in principle be read further along its route. For particularly confidential information, please use the phone or postal mail.

Cookies and local storage

This website sets no cookies that would require consent — neither for audience measurement nor for advertising. A cookie banner is therefore not needed.

If you change settings in the accessibility menu (larger text, higher contrast, read-aloud and so on), your browser keeps them in its local storage under the key “a11y-settings” so they are still there on your next visit. This information does not leave your device and is not transmitted to us. You can remove it at any time via “Reset” in the menu or by clearing your browser data.

The read-aloud feature uses the speech synthesis built into your browser or operating system. No data is transmitted for it, neither to us nor to third parties.

Fonts, maps and social networks

All fonts are served from our own server. No connection to Google Fonts or any other external provider is made when you view the site.

No map services, videos or social media plugins are embedded. The reference to our Facebook page is a plain link: a connection to the provider is only made once you click it, and its own privacy policy then applies.

Recipients of your data

We do not sell your data and do not pass it on for advertising purposes. It is shared only with the hosting and e-mail providers named above, to the extent technically necessary, and with authorities where we are legally obliged to do so.

If your enquiry leads to an order, it may be necessary to pass your contact details to partner firms or suppliers carrying out the work, for example to arrange an appointment or a delivery. This happens only as part of performing the contract.

Retention period

Server log files are deleted automatically after a short period.

Enquiries received by form, e-mail or phone are kept for as long as needed to handle them. If the enquiry leads to an order, the commercial and tax retention periods under Luxembourg law apply, as a rule ten years. The data is deleted afterwards.

Data security

The website is delivered exclusively over encrypted HTTPS (TLS). Your form entries are protected on the way to our server, and the e-mail that follows is sent over an encrypted connection.

Your rights

You have the right at any time to access the data held about you, to have inaccurate data corrected, to erasure, to restriction of processing, to data portability, and to object to processing based on a legitimate interest (Art. 15 to 21 GDPR).

Consent you have given can be withdrawn at any time with effect for the future. An informal message to info@thermotec.lu is enough for any request.

If you believe that the processing of your data infringes applicable law, you may lodge a complaint with the supervisory authority: Commission nationale pour la protection des données (CNPD), 15 Boulevard du Jazz, L-4370 Belvaux, www.cnpd.lu.

No automated decision-making

No automated individual decision-making and no profiling take place.

Providing your data is neither legally nor contractually required. Without contact details, however, we cannot answer your enquiry.

Changes to this privacy policy

We adapt this policy when the website or the legal situation changes. The version published on this page is the one that applies.
